A REVIEW OF TRANS AND NON-BINARY PEOPLE HEALTH AND WELLBEING IN JAPAN AND THE UK

CAREER BREAKS AND INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES

BETWEEN 2009 AND 2015, I TOOK TIME OUT OF FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT AS A PRIMARY CAREGIVER TO MY TWO CHILDREN. BETWEEN 2005 AND 2007, I ALSO SPENT TIME LIVING AND WORKING OVERSEAS, WORKING IN PAID AND VOLUNTARY ROLES ACROSS SOUTH AMERICA, SOUTHEAST ASIA, AND OCEANIA. THESE EXPERIENCES BROADENED MY UNDERSTANDING OF GLOBAL CULTURES AND INEQUALITIES, AND CONTINUE TO INFORM MY VALUES AND APPROACH TO COLLABORATIVE, SOCIALLY ENGAGED DESIGN.
